Terms of Service
Effective date: 19 June 2026
1. Acceptance
By using the Ryx Sidekick website, the web account cabinet, or the Ryx Sidekick plugin for the Unity Editor (together, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. The Service
Ryx Sidekick is a plugin for the Unity Editor offered in a free Lite edition and a paid Pro edition, together with a companion website and account cabinet. The plugin acts as a front-end that drives third-party AI coding command-line tools (such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex) that you install and configure yourself. You are responsible for obtaining and complying with the accounts, API keys, and terms of those third-party tools and their providers. Ryx Interactive does not provide those tools and is not responsible for them.
3. Accounts
Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. You may close your account at any time (see our Privacy Policy for how to request deletion).
4. Licensing
The Pro edition is licensed, not sold. A Pro license is currently obtained through the Unity Asset Store and redeemed in the account cabinet, and grants you the right to use Ryx Sidekick Pro subject to these terms. Each license:
- may be activated on a limited number of devices ("seats"), which you can manage and unlink in the cabinet;
- covers an edition and a defined support window, after which continued updates may require renewal;
- is for your own use and may not be resold, sublicensed, or shared.
We may revoke a license obtained through fraud, chargeback, or breach of these terms.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- reverse-engineer, circumvent, or tamper with the licensing or activation mechanisms;
- use the Service to violate any law or the rights of others;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' data.
6. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties — including the AI tools you connect, the Unity Asset Store, and our hosting and infrastructure providers. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and Ryx Interactive is not responsible for their availability, content, or conduct.
7. Intellectual property
All content and code that make up the Service — including text, graphics, logos, and the plugin itself — are the property of Ryx Interactive or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Aside from the rights granted under your license, you may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every environment or third-party tool.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ryx Interactive shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the license in the twelve months preceding the claim.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the country in which Ryx Interactive is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and any dispute shall be subject to the courts of that jurisdiction.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms by updating this page and the effective date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
